i just sharing this video about my lighting setup. Corals they are photosynthesis and they'll require a lot of light for them to grow.
Finding the right height to mount your reef tank lighting, specifically LED lights, can be confusing because the advice is often conflicting. The reason this gets a bit tricky is because every tank is different in size, shape, depth, what is in it, the lights themselves and how they are used.
High-performance Reef LED LightingRL180 reef light includes hollow optical-glass lenses that ensure a homogenous light spread with reef PAR value throughout the aquarium, without hotspots or areas with insufficient light for coral growth.
Depending on coral species, reef tank require 9 to 12 hours of lighting per day.Prolonged exposure to too much light can cause long-term damage. A wrong spectrum or too high of light intensity can harm corals, so it is important to set your lighting to the correct spectrum.
Moderate to high lighting is generally appropriate. Strong, stable light supports growth and color. Higher placement in the tank often makes sense once acclimated. Avoid abrupt jumps in intensity that can stress new frags or colonies.
High-Intensity Reef Lighting. Corals are photosynthetic organisms, meaning they derive most of their energy from light. You need a light fixture capable of producing the correct PAR (Photosynthetic Active Radiation) and spectrum, specifically in the blue wavelengths.
